Forsythia

This is one of our forsythia bushes, looking out across the street. They are covered in blossoms - a shock of brilliant yellow. It felt good to be painting outdoors today!

BEAUTIFUL!! I love that brilliant yellow, and how it's off centered. It's lovely! And I'm so jealous you got to paint outside! Sounds awesome :)

I agree this is a beautiful painting and you have as always captured the mood. I dreamed last night an abstract painting( as I often do) I go to your blog and there in the bush is my abstract. A painitng withing the wonder of a painting. Do you see it?

This is great, Kim. Forsythia is one of my favorites. I just returned home from our North Carolina summer house which was studded with dogwood and forsythia.

You captured the yellow perfectly!

Beautiful and bright. The subtle colors makes it feel like early morning to me. Yes, time for more coffee!

BEautiful, Kim. I'm a huge fan of forsythia paintings, because I know how hard they are, PLUS I love the cheerful yellow flowers!
